I am wondering if anyone has experiencing in applying the SPACE constructs to the school setting. If so any suggestions? is there any data showing that it is as effective as in the home environment? Thanks!

When parents decrease accommodations for anxiety and OCD, our children can have big emotions and a fight, flight, freeze reaction, making it difficult for our own brain and nervous system. We can feel overwhelmed and find that putting down the ping-pong paddle (disengaging from arguments) and maintaining changes in accommodations is challenging. In this compassionate and non-judgemental space, you will learn about: • embodied practices for settling your brain and nervous system's stress responses • accompanying your feelings of fear, overwhelm, guilt and frustration with compassion through experiential exercises • steps to establish and follow-through on changes to accommodations I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a SPACE provider with advanced Emotion-Focused Family therapy and trauma training. For regulatory reasons, this group is only available to Canadian residents living in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
