hello,
I am supporting my first family whose 9 year old child is very concerned about brushing her wobbly teeth as she fears swallowing them and choking. She has many fears but this is the most prominent and regular, and the one where her parents have the most motivation to support her with. It is happening every morning and evening before bed. Her parents are very concerned as her gums in areas are sore and red, she leaves gunk behind and her parents have to spend a long time in the bathroom with her trying to her her to trust them to get it off. father has found he has been demanding and mother more protective. We have have come up with balanced supportive statements around this... but what if they leave her in the bathroom to brush her teeth herself, and she ends up still not brushing them properly. what do they do? I would really appreciate your guidance
