When parents decrease accommodations for anxiety and OCD, our children can have big emotions and a fight, flight, freeze reaction, making it difficult for our own brain and nervous system. We can feel overwhelmed and find that putting down the ping-pong paddle (disengage from arguments) and maintaining changes in accommodations is challenging.
In this compassionate and non-judgemental space, you will learn about:
• embodied practices for settling your brain and nervous system's stress responses
• accompanying your feelings of fear, overwhelm, guilt and frustration with compassion through experiential exercises
• relational tools to help you decrease accommodations with more clarity and confidence
