Hello! I hope to attend a future SPACE - expanded workshop to learn more about SPACE for failure to launch, but in the meantime, I am looking for any insights on how the role of supporters in SPACE for FTL may differ from standard SPACE. In particular, I am wondering about the role of supporters related to working with "adult children."? Thank you for any insights/advice!

Thanks Lucene, we are working on scheduling the next ARFID/FTL day! stay tuned for a notice soon..
Lucene Wisniewski and I are CEBTOhio, and we have been actively working on treating " Failure to Launch" young adults and their parents for the past few years. I have run one day parenting workshops in the past, and revamped an entire segment after " discovering" SPACE and research articles from Dr. Lebowitz. Currently we meet with parents alone in individual sessions , using DBT and a hybrid of SPACE with parents, and are always willing to speak with others doing this work. PLEASE KNOW WE are anxiously awaiting a training on FTL from SPACE! 😊 ( OH - and ARFID too!)
Too much to write in a post but we definitely use supporters in this work, and often their function is imperative as parents struggle with making necessary changes and sometimes encounter difficult reactions from the adult children. Always interested to hear how others may be implementing this kind of work.
